Quick Thinking – Get your oats!

If alot of people are like me, they don’t enjoy eating plain oatmeal with a spoon. It has no flavor and even if you add Splenda, its still hard to choke it down.  Oats are one of the cleanest, best for you carb choices out there. High in fiber and complex carbs, oatmeal should not be overlooked as part of a clean, healthy diet.  But how to get the benefits without fearing the taste?

The trick I use to consume nearly 3 cups of complex-carb rich old-fashioned oatmeal a day is to mix it with my shake. You have to add the oats first then water, then let it sit and absorb to be able to chew it. Then add the protein mix and shake it up. You get a kind of cereal-like treat that gives you good carbs, tons of protein and keeps you full.  You will want to chew the oats and drink the mixture, but you are getting everything you  need for a power-meal.

Its like a meal in itself.
