The Truth About Artificial Sweeteners

Anyone who knows anything about Health and Fitness knows that the number one enemy of any dieter or trainer is sugar.  High levels of Glucose, Sucrose or Fructose causes fat storage, insulin sensitivity and increased hunger, eventually leading to obesity and possibly diabetes.  But sugar is so prevalent in most food we eat, how do we eliminate the bad and substitute something good?

Invest In Your Health

If you’ve been watching the news for the past couple years now, you have seen (and probably felt) the impact of the financial recession that has engulfed the United States.  People are losing their life savings and their income in these times of distress.  Trying to keep their house and still pay bills and make ends meet is becoming harder and harder every day.  The morale of the American public, as a whole, has taken a hit and hitting healthcare even harder.

Quick Thinking – Clean Food

Prepare your food on Sunday for the whole week. Include fresh chicken, steak, turkey and other lean meats, along with complex carbs like brown rice, sweet or regular potatoes or whole grain pasta and leafy green vegetables like broccoli or salad greens. Having healthy, clean food available in your refrigerator will allow you to portion it out each day to take with you to work where you can just reheat and have a solid, nutritious meal.

Quick Reference Guide for Beginner Lifters

Like most challenging tasks, getting started is the hardest part.  This especially goes for diving into the Health and Fitness world and all of its aspects.  The main parts to concern yourself with are Weight Training, Nutrition, Cardiovascular Exercise, Supplementation and Goal Tracking/Monitoring of all 4.  I will try and give you a high level overview of what it takes to get started and what theories you should keep in mind.
